Since their creation in 1957, the Deschamps establishments, founded by Pierre Deschamps, the father of the famous storm sail PONANT, have chosen to offer the best possible quality in the field of laminated Resin-fibreglass.
Today DESHAMPS SA is still the only French manufacturer of polyester-fibreglass flagpole shafts and the ingenuity of the accessories used to equip its flagpoles (patented in 19 countries) added to the high quality of its production, make DESCHAMPS flagpoles a world-wide reference (40% for the export-market ), in the field of the flag-carrying pole.

Industrial process
DESCHAMPS poles are made according to a unique manufacturing process.
It is the result of our strong determination for quality and for the constancy of quality : On the one hand, that of the flag-pole manufactured in its entirety, but also that of all flag-poles, regardless of their date of manufacture.
- A desire for quality , translated by the use of the best materials and in greater quantity than normal. ( more than 60% glass in our composite )
Our glass fabrics are all made up of strands which are unbroken, from the bottom to the very top of the flag-pole, except in the case of the presence of a vandal-proof, lockable door, allowing access to the halyard inside. In this case, the hatch-door is reinforced by several extra layers of composite on over a metre on either side of the opening.
A desire for constancy in quality by an almost total mechanisation of production not leaving the operators any room for error. The glass fibre is automatically dipped in resin before being put into place in several overlapping bands, by means of a motorised trolley, by a computer programmed according to the height of the pole being produced.
This set of long bands, of composite, is then rolled around a truncated model, before being placed by a robot in a mould heated up to 80°C.
After the time necessary for polymerisation, the pole is taken out of its mould and transferred to the assembly shop where it is fitted out with the necessary accessories, depending on the type of pole being made. These accessories are manufactured and put together with the same high standards of excellence and security.

- Moulding carried out under high temperature to ensure the best possible polymerisation.
- Mechanised stratification which guarantees consistency and regularity of production.
- Use of glass fabrics, made exclusively of fibres in one single piece the whole length of the pole, allowing excellent flexibility.
- A composite made up of more than 60% glass, which explains our poles high resistance
to breaking. (rival flagpoles contain rather 60% resin and 40% glass)
- Accessories ( Movable foot, shaft, banner, rotating head, hook ..)
in the fabrication of which SOLIDITY and QUALITY are put before economy.
Aluminium pole
Thanks to our privileged partnership with one of the most important Extruder of the world, Deschamps SA is available to give you a complete range of aluminium flagpoles, from lest than 2 meters high to more than 18 meters high, and even more 30 meters high. (round conical, stepped, tubular, octogonal, special designed, with or without banner, with or without hoist system)
Vision range
Destinated for occasional events, they have a mobile weighted foot, allowing them to be moved by a simple system of rolling.
- Autocal Flagpoles : Also transportable, they can be fixed under the wheel of a vehicle.
- Bill-carrying Flagpoles : Flag-bearing flagpoles which are equipped in the lower part with a simple or 2-sided board for advertising.
- Speed Ball : Racket sport based on the principle of rotation (up to more than 200 km/h ) of an elliptical ball around a flagpole of 1.70 m. in height to the top of which it is attached by a nylon cord.
